This year Earth Day will be massive. So huge, in fact, that it starts two days early to fit in all the incredible virtual events people have organised.

Earth Day Global Youth Climate Summit
It begins on April 20th with a virtual Global Youth Climate Summit which will bring together hundreds of young climate activist voices. A collaboration between three inspirational international organisations: Earth Uprising, My Future My Voice and OneMillionOfUs. You will hear from youth climate activists including: legendary Nobel Peace Prize nominee, Greta Thunberg; founder of Earth Uprising, Alexandria Villaseñor; and World Children Peace Prize 2019 recipient, Licypriya Kangujam who has been campaigning for climate action since she was just seven years old.

Earth Day Global Education Summit
Teach for the Planet: Global Education Summit kicks off at 12-midday on April 21st.
This virtual event will focus on climate education and the hugely important function of teachers in the fight against climate change. The summit will be led by Education International and there will be input from leading environmental activists from all over the world.

Earth Day Live
The theme for this year’s Earth Day is “Restore Our Earth”
Everyone will be there; from grassroots activists to world leaders. There will be panel discussions, workshops and performances. We’ll hear about innovative ‘green’ technologies and ways that we can all help to restore our earth.

- How you can help by becoming a citizen scientist
- What reforestation efforts are happening
- Where you can get involved in organised cleanups
- What regenerative agriculture can do for us
- Many more topical discussions
